This policy explains how The Product Recipe Box ("we", "us", "our") collects, uses and protects personal information when you visit get.theoperatorway.com or buy one of our products.

1. Who is responsible

2. Information we collect

  • Information you give us: your name and email address when you buy a product or contact us, and anything you write in your messages.
  • Order information: when you buy, our reseller Digistore24 shares the order details we need to deliver your product and support you, such as your name, email address, the product and the order number. We do not receive or store your full card details.
  • Technical information: your IP address, browser, device and the pages you view, collected automatically when you visit, including through cookies and server logs.

3. How we use your information

  • To deliver your product and make sure you can access your files.
  • To answer your questions and give customer support.
  • To send service messages about your order.
  • To send news or updates about our products, only if you have chosen to receive them.
  • To keep the website secure, working well and improving.
  • To meet our legal, tax and accounting obligations.

4. Legal basis

Where data protection law applies, such as the UK General Data Protection Regulation or the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), we process your information to perform our contract with you (delivering your purchase and support), to meet legal obligations, on the basis of our legitimate interest in running a secure and useful website, and, for marketing emails, on the basis of your consent, which you can withdraw at any time.

5. Payment and our reseller

Orders are processed by our online reseller, Digistore24 GmbH. You enter your payment details directly on the Digistore24 order form, and the Digistore24 privacy policy applies to the information you give them. We never see or store your full payment card details.

6. Marketing emails

We only send marketing emails if you have agreed to receive them. Every marketing email has an unsubscribe link, or you can email support@theoperatorway.com with "Unsubscribe" in the subject line. Service emails about an order are not marketing and may still be sent.

7. Cookies

We use cookies and similar technologies that the website needs to work and, where used, to understand how visitors use it. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, although some parts of the site may then not work properly. Where the law requires consent for non-essential cookies, we ask for it first.

8. Service providers

We use trusted providers to host this website, send email and, where used, measure website traffic. They receive only the information they need to provide their service and may use it only for that purpose. Some providers may process data outside the UK or the European Economic Area. Where that happens, we rely on the safeguards required by law.

9. How long we keep information

We keep personal information only for as long as we need it for the purposes above, including supporting your purchase and meeting legal, tax and accounting requirements. After that we delete or anonymise it.

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct or delete your personal information, to restrict or object to how we use it, to receive a copy of it and to withdraw consent at any time. You also have the right to complain to a data protection authority, such as the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) in the UK or the authority in your country.

Our products are intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your information. No method of sending data over the internet is completely secure, but we work to protect your information appropriately.
